Artist Collective

The Desert Art Woman Gallery is pleased to represent these fine local artists through our Artist Collective Program. The artists often change throughout the season, and participate regularly in our shows and events. We are proud to provide artists with space and resources to support their artistic practice as well as display and sell their work.

Tim Johnson

Julianna Poldi

"Painting engages movement, imagination, and intuition. It transforms the inner world into an outer reality - making the invisible visible through touch. Nature's intelligence inspires me."

Tony Soares

Soares has dedicated himself to becoming fluent in the distinctive pottery styles of tribes throughout the Southwest, which is why he’s a sought-after instructor for Native students who want to learn the art form. The Heard Museum in Phoenix, for instance, hosted a weeklong master artist workshop with Soares for the Colorado River Indian Tribes. He currently teaches in the Native American Arts Program at Idyllwild Arts Academy.

Don Stouder

Don is a retired first responder, educator, and hospital chaplain-crisis counselor who now spends his time as a writer, fine art photographer, and digital artist. His work has been exhibited in Palm Springs, San Diego, Palm Desert, and now at the Desert Art Woman Gallery in Cathedral City. Don serves on the Cathedral City Public Arts Commission. Kathleen Irvine

“My creative process involves the study of light/color and how it impacts
compositional design in figurative, representational and in abstract works.
These components fortify images with vibrance, emotion, and is what gives
energy to a painting. My process is intuitive and soulful utilizing that light
and color as exclamation marks in the design of the composition.”

Irvine attended Herron School of Art and Design at Indianapolis, BFA
program IUPUI, Herron Art Study, Italy, BFA program Indiana Univ.,
Bloomington, IN, Visual Communications and Design, Ball State Univ.,
Muncie, IN. She also completed a twenty year career as a Motion Picture Screen Cartoonist in animation working creatively in effects, color design and promotional artwork for Warner Bros, Filmation, and other independent studios.
